About the Journal
Journal of Family and Sharia is a peer-reviewed academic journal that focuses on the study of family issues from the perspective of Islamic law (Sharia). It serves as a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to publish original research, theoretical analyses, and critical discussions related to Islamic family law and its application in contemporary society.
The journal covers a broad range of topics, including marriage, divorce, guardianship, inheritance, child custody, spousal rights and obligations, as well as the protection of family values within the framework of Sharia. It also explores the intersection between religious norms, legal systems, and socio-cultural dynamics affecting Muslim families in various contexts.
By adopting an interdisciplinary approach, the Journal of Family and Sharia aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Islamic family law and provide scholarly insights that respond to emerging challenges in Muslim communities around the world.
The Journal of Family and Sharia is published by the independent Athallah Publishing company and is published twice a year, in January and July.
